Kinder
Welcome to our Kindergarten program at Clever Little Monkeys! We are proud to offer a government-funded Three and Four-Year-Old Kinder program integrated into our long day care hours. We offer adventure, discovery, and meaningful learning experiences.
We strive to provide an environment where each child feels valued and belongs. Our program aims to develop the whole child, focusing particularly on social and emotional development. We celebrate these important years in a child’s life, and our program aims to foster a lifelong love and curiosity for learning.
We are intentional in everything we do. Our play-based program is guided by children's emerging interests and combines child-initiated activities, observed needs, and intentional teaching. Children are encouraged to recognise that they are unique, valued, and an important part of the community.
At Clever Little Monkeys we are proud to incorporate specialised programs:
- Bush Kinder: Our Bush Kinder program provides children with the opportunity to explore and learn in a natural outdoor environment. Through hands-on experiences in nature, children develop confidence, resilience, curiosity, and a deep respect for the environment. Bush Kinder encourages discovery, problem-solving, and a strong connection to the natural world while supporting children’s wellbeing and sense of adventure.
- Kelly Sports: Our children enjoy active, fun-filled sessions with Kelly Sports, where they are introduced to various sports and movement activities. Through games and skill-based challenges, children develop coordination, teamwork, confidence, and a love for being active in a supportive and engaging environment.
- Music & Movement - Hey Dee Ho: Children enjoy lively music and movement sessions with Hey Dee Ho, where they explore rhythm, singing, dance, and creative expression. These fun and interactive experiences support children’s confidence, coordination, listening skills, and love of music in an engaging and joyful environment
- Aboriginal Learning & Earth Connections with Trish: Children take part in engaging sessions with Trish that explore Aboriginal culture and our connection to the land. Through storytelling, music, art, and nature-based experiences, children learn about caring for Country, respecting the environment, and appreciating the rich traditions of Aboriginal culture. These experiences help nurture curiosity, respect, and a meaningful connection with the natural world
- Social and Emotional development: Social and emotional development is crucial in laying the foundation for how children understand themselves, relate to others, and manage their emotions. It influences a child’s ability to form healthy relationships, communicate effectively, and cope with challenges. Developing these skills early in life supports long term mental well-being and positive behavior, while also helping individuals navigate complex social environments with empathy, resilience, and confidence.
- Buddies: Our Buddies Program helps children build connections with the local primary school through shared activities and visits. By spending time with older students, children develop confidence, social skills, and a sense of familiarity with the school environment. These experiences support a smooth and positive transition to school while fostering friendships and a sense of community.
Kindergarten Classes
We support children in developing early numeracy, literacy, technology and social skills by integrating creative arts, languages and sports activities into our program.
Clever Little Monkeys provides an innovative and stimulating learning environment based on children’s interests, family feedback, community and the world around us.
There is a shared understanding between our centre and local primary schools about what is important for children and their families during transition to school.
At Clever Little Monkeys all children will have the opportunity to participate in our wonderful and enjoyable extra-curricular activities and to take part in many excursions and incursions during the year.

This program is designed to prepare children for their first year at school and focuses simultaneously on social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
The program is operating on a daily basis and utilises an approach that integrates a variety of curriculum areas such as language and writing, mathematics, science and technology, creative arts, music, drama, and physical education. These planned activities provide a balance of formal and informal experiences for individuals, small groups and the whole group. At times, incursions with specialist teachers are catered for, as well as excursions to a variety of places, that give further exposure to the wider community.
